Hair Party

Yep, a hair party...tried to curl Elena's hair and straighten Ryann's hair....complete failure on both. They picked the hair style, and yes, picked their poses....and wanted me to pay them to do their hair.

the basketball game....watching 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders play ball is very entertaining... the scrappers are already scrappers, the ones who can't remember which is their basket...all of this begins very early on apparently. I also learned today that the "herd complex" that girls have when it comes to going to the restroom, going to recess..well, anywhere really...that also applies to the court. We watched a boys game after Elena's...and they immediately spread out like the girls coach has been trying to get them to do...someone should tell him if he is expecting that, he should switch teams...

Winter in Appalachia

the "pup pups"....the hill leading to the back 80 acres that I love to hike through while Paige is sleeping....Clyde, the old dog in his usual spot....the house where I am living now with the wind blowing from the south....redneck country. the only thing I missed was the man cave where Arlen and I sit by the fire, play with the pup pups, organize tools and listen to loud country...

Just thought you might want to see Arlen's new haircut...I asked him what the special occasion was...he said, "Wednesday". At his finest...ready to go "play" outside...includes pounding stakes into the ground, measuring out the 16 foot extension on the man cave... and then there is beautiful Jessi...ever photogenic...playing with her baby.

Life in Ohio

Here are the girls...playing Bop It....just for you nana...hard to get them in action on it, the flash is too long. And then got Elena walking up the driveway from the bus reading her book....Ryann was already inside with Paige watching Elena. Arlen hid behind the door and scared the girls out of their heads as they came in...was pretty hilarious! Wish I had my camera then...

Kevin Initiation

the girls talking to Kevin on the phone....his intro to having nieces...Elena told him he was dorky and sleepy and that I really didn't like him very much...I had "told her so"....they all wanted a turn talking to him, even the neighbor girl. They are VERY excited about the upcoming wedding...=)

Miss PJ...Paige Jordyn

Here she is...the one that keeps me entertained all day long....I'm getting good at the diaper changing business! Handy skill to have...I could write THAT on my resume... Tonight I gave her a bath, cleaned her all up.. then Jessi gave her a plate of waffle with syrup on it...she put the whole thing in her face and hair...yep, hilarious! She is very adorable...making bunny talk...wiggling her nose up and down..

A Warm Welcome

How sweet! My room was decorated with two welcome posters made by Ryann and Elena...and a scarf knitted that day by Jessi, and new soaps/lotions....It is really great to be here with the family. Missing Mr. Scruffy of course, but counting down the days until he is here...
