Ladies and Gentlemen-

I present you Tigger's Tag-a-long.
(Applause) Thank you. Thank you.
As you know, Tigger has invited me to add my two cents to this blog every so often.
You all are my witnesses- this is going on the official record:
She asked for it.

"Make yourself at home," I said. Dear me.

She's been doing a great job on the cupboards though! Beats the unfinished particle board/ pale puke pink/ etc interiors we'd been getting used to.

Derned oven fell outa its hole.
Goofy critter decided to quit using its bottom element. I discovered it's quite difficult to bake things on broil.
For sale: one half baked oven. Cheap.

Some big square patch that Shauna's not happy with. And a dog house that's coming down. It's actually a house above the pump house hole in the ground thing. One of the few eccentric things here. Now we get to add our own eccentric touch...

Some of them yellow flowers. Minus the weeds. Thanks Shauna!

So, Shauna's been going like 60 getting the flower beds all ship-shape like. And the previous owners left us a fair number of them. (Ed/Earl (I met Ed, she met Earl- we thought they were the same guy and were bantering back and forth about what his name actually was. Turns out there are two old gents who live down the lane- one Ed and one Earl) pointedly hinted to each of us that the last neighbors kept the yard looking VERY nice...) In all fairness, it just takes time to do a proper weeding job. No getting around it. But one can't pass up the opportunity to point out that I finished weeding one whole edge of the property (and a very wild edge indeed) in 45 minutes and can't she pick up the pace? Fire, a man's best friend. One clean ditch, one stinky load of laundry.
If you kept up with all of that rambling you get the prize.

Farming the garden patch.

Our first crop. Onions left over from some years past. Still edible!

I'd blog some more right now but there are quite a few honey-do projects nagging to be finished ;p

New authorhsip

This blog will shortly undergo dual authorship....since Kevin and I both have blogs...and many of the same pics...we have decided to combine...and he gets to be the main blogger...Yay!! I may have to keep up on house project pics...but he can do the writing....so expect changes soon...

Arrival in Idaho

the trip to ID with Corey was hilarious....except the part where it was snowing so hard that I couldn't see the road....Corey was even nice about my driving...he was probably white-knuckling it, but there was no place to pull over and switch so there you go......i dropped him off on Friday night...after waking Kevin out of a dead sleep in his chair...=)....and then drove back on Saturday to find all my things piled in the middle of the room....Corey bundled up eating lunch..see, I am not the only one who is cold!....and Kevin wearing the new table runner...hmmm.....that was only a week ago!!

Pampered Chef Party

Then, Tues., these two ladies drove down from Portland to give us presents. Donna, Brooke's mom, went in with some other ladies on a Pampered Chef show....to get us some things...some really, really nice things....i didn't even know about it until the order was in. THEN, they drove down, wrapped everything up and threw me this lovely party! Kevin scored too....really nice grilling tools (now all we need is a barbecue=))...and a stoneware loaf pan and pizza stone....which I have used and he has eaten goods from already....and mixing bowls, large stone bar pan, deep dish baker, a stove top utensil holder, and 7 piece stainless steel set of pots and pans....we are really lucky! Thank you so much everyone!

Linny

The day after I got back from HI, I called Lin and she answered from the hospital...I am having surgery to have my appendix out in a few hours!! What? She was out of surgery and recovering well by the time I got there. That is a hard one...even if its a routine surgery....still takes awhile to get back to "normal"....

Here's the hunk....hunk of what you say??...

the last day...killing time and strolling on the beach....watching the sunset....i thought he was more interesting than the sunset, so there you go....

Posing for pics

Trying to get a good engagement picture...it was entertaining anyway...and good thing mom is patient. Looks like this sequence of pics should end with both of us in the water...but yay! didn't happen... and Kevin took these beautiful sunset shots...love them...

Family Shots...

Random pics from here and there....love the one of papasan....with his blackberry....giving us the daily news update....I knew more about world news while i was vacationing in HI, then I ever do at home....which doesn't say much for me, but there you go...

More Beach Shots...

Okay, so yes, I had to put the ridiculous picture of me trying to get my snorkel gear on since I posted the one of him....and yes, he buried me in the sand, completely. Apparently he learned this in his long ago youth...he put a towel over my face with room to breathe and then buried me right under...actually feels like a massage. Pretty cool....mommasan put my dress on me..=) very nice.

Hawaii Scenery

by the way...backing up again for a bit...FOOD!

Our beautiful plates at Duke's....and me eating off of Kevin's plate...why do couples do that? I don't know, but I think he is almost used to it by now....used his brush the other day (it was an emergency) and after the first initial shock...he just shook his head and wanted to know when I was going to start using his razor....

Our beautiful "resort"

Just a few random shots...that cannot capture how beautiful this place was. Not even sure what pics I ended up with...a few shots from our balcony I think... nice to eat breakfast looking down at the lagoon with the massage cabana on the shore, and jacuzzis scattered around....and right on the beach as well. Two days we just spent at the place, and that was so relaxing. I kept saying to myself, "is this really real?"
