(Applause) Thank you. Thank you.
As you know, Tigger has invited me to add my two cents to this blog every so often.
You all are my witnesses- this is going on the official record:
She asked for it.
"Make yourself at home," I said. Dear me.
She's been doing a great job on the cupboards though! Beats the unfinished particle board/ pale puke pink/ etc interiors we'd been getting used to.
Derned oven fell outa its hole.
Goofy critter decided to quit using its bottom element. I discovered it's quite difficult to bake things on broil.
For sale: one half baked oven. Cheap.
Some big square patch that Shauna's not happy with. And a dog house that's coming down. It's actually a house above the pump house hole in the ground thing. One of the few eccentric things here. Now we get to add our own eccentric touch...
Some of them yellow flowers. Minus the weeds. Thanks Shauna!
So, Shauna's been going like 60 getting the flower beds all ship-shape like. And the previous owners left us a fair number of them. (Ed/Earl (I met Ed, she met Earl- we thought they were the same guy and were bantering back and forth about what his name actually was. Turns out there are two old gents who live down the lane- one Ed and one Earl) pointedly hinted to each of us that the last neighbors kept the yard looking VERY nice...) In all fairness, it just takes time to do a proper weeding job. No getting around it. But one can't pass up the opportunity to point out that I finished weeding one whole edge of the property (and a very wild edge indeed) in 45 minutes and can't she pick up the pace? Fire, a man's best friend. One clean ditch, one stinky load of laundry.
If you kept up with all of that rambling you get the prize.
Farming the garden patch.
Our first crop. Onions left over from some years past. Still edible!
I'd blog some more right now but there are quite a few honey-do projects nagging to be finished ;p
