The longer we wait to post this, the hotter the water we're in is going to get. For some reason, mothers and such want updates. Here's where we insert some variation of the proverbial question, "What did they do before blogs?"
Our yard has kept us a bit busy. Trying to make sure we comply with the informal but strongly suggested CC&Rs of the neighborhood. Best keep the old-timers down the lane appeased since they keep us supplied with fresh lettuce and flowers and such. We didn't get our lettuce planted in time and it doesn't look like it's going to amount to anything. But we've been enjoying strawberries and table center pieces from the gardens. Corn, beans, squash, carrots, melons, etc are all coming along nicely.

We have gas. Finally. Well, the house finally has gas. You know what I mean.
The bare strips along the edge are were we're making room for a walkway, a spot for some more melons, and making it easier to mow. Rented a sod cutter that led me in a dance across the yard...
A sampling of Shauna's projects- lampshade and a pillow...
...and paint in the bathroom. There might have been more pictures of this but she had to be rather circumspect in her shooting as there were other activities going on at the same time. Speaking of gas.
And a summer project for us. Hopefully I can get them into their places tight enough so that we don't feel the winter wind blowing through the panes like we did last winter.
And a music box. Brought her home today. We like her and we're pretty sure she likes her new home.
Gotta run for now. I see some cookie dough that needs sampling. We're off to Twin for meeting tomorrow and a picnic/potluck/BBQ/volleyball/goodtimesandgoodfriends sort of event in the evening. (Hence the cookies. Cookies that won't be joining me on my lunch breaks this week. Unless I can convince everyone at the picnic not to imbibe...)The bare strips along the edge are were we're making room for a walkway, a spot for some more melons, and making it easier to mow.
